Impish Liam

1/24/2010: For fear of allergies, we are waiting till after Liam turns 3 to introduce him to peanut products. So far, he has been very agreeable and settles for just smelling the peanut product. But this does not mean he doesn't try to get a taste of it via trickery.
Mommy had some peanut butter out during dinner and put some on her rice.
Liam sees this and instead of asking for the peanut butter, he casually says "Liam wants mommy's rice" even though he has his own bowl of rice in front of him.

I am a little worried that Liam will out-smart/trick us in a couple of years...


1/25/2010: Liam was drinking chocolate milk with his dinner. Since he was doing more drinking than eating, mommy told him "Okay, no more milk until you take 3 bites of fish". Liam takes 1 bite of fish and tells mommy "mama go wash dishes".
"why?" asked mommy. This is odd as he always wants mommy to keep him company.
Liam doesn't answer (he hasn't quite figure out how to answer why questions).
Then it dawned on mommy - "Liam, do you want me to go do dishes so you can sneak more drinks of chocolate milk?"
Liams smiles sheepishly and says "yes".

Are 28 months olds suppose to be attempting these types of tricks already?
